Using Antivirus is pretty simple â€" it scans automatically and presents you with a list of results. If there’s anything wrong, Antivirus will offer you the means to fix it. You can configure the scan settings to decide when you want Auto-Scan to run, or separately scan the areas covered - Apps, Settings, Content and Media â€" by manually choosing the option.
Antivirus also has a few nice options that don’t always come as standard. There’s a facility to locate your phone if lost, scan incoming SMS messages for dangerous content and even a safe uninstall option.
If there are any problems with Antivirus, it’s that the ads can get irritating, and some of the options, especially under Remote Management, aren’t that clear. Help is online only, and the getting started guide isn’t very explanatory, but the app itself is easy to use and a little exploration should help you get the mysterious options sorted out.
