YouTube 3.0.0.2 - app

The YouTube app is currently unavailable from the Windows Marketplace, although it could be updated and return again soon. In the meantime, if you're looking for an alternative YouTube client for your Windows try Metrotube or YouTube Pro.

After a lot of time, YouTube on Windows Phone finally moves past the simple link to the mobile version of YouTube and into a fully functional app.

Download viewed videos

The new update allows you to interact with YouTube just like the browser version. You can search for videos, browse channels, create playlists, and manage your profile.

A big difference is that YouTube for Windows Phone now allows you to download videos to your device to watch later. Another update is that the app includes the ability to anchor videos, playlists, and channels to Live Tiles.

Easy Navigation

The app is now finally integrated into the Windows Phone operating system as an app rather than a link to the mobile site.

Excellent Design

With the update, YouTube is now designed for Windows Phone rather than around it. The integration of the Modern UI that Windows Phone uses makes YouTube look like a native app.

Now a must-have app

After a poor initial launch, YouTube for Windows Phone can now be considered as useful as the other versions on other mobile operating systems. It is streamlined and contains all the important video content that you want to watch.
