If you're a fan of classic platform games such as Mario and Sonic then you'll love Bounce On.
The game is almost a fusion of the two aforementioned games, although instead of being a plumber or a hedgehog the protagonist in this one is a cute little bouncy ball. Bounce On features an innovative control system in which you guide the ball through the levels by tilting the iPhone left and right. Tapping anywhere on the screen will make the ball jump.
Graphically, Bounce On is rich in color and fun. The backgrounds are just like those old cutesy console platformers and there is a range of imaginatively-designed baddies to defeat. The music is suitably upbeat and catchy, although I was disappointed by the lack of any sound effects. It would've been nice to at least hear some noise when the ball jumps or when he gets killed by an enemy.
There are only three playable levels in this Lite version of Bounce On, so it won't take you long to finish the game. An upgrade to the full version will get you more than 30 levels set across two different worlds.
Upgrading is highly recommended because Bounce On is one of the most fun-to-play platform games on the iPhone right now.
