But for those of us in the know, radio remains a great way of receiving information, music and news while simultaneously avoiding the distraction of a screen. The TuneIn Radio app for Android lets you enjoy all the advantages of radio on the move, whatever your location.

TuneIn Radio lets you access more than 40,000 radio stations from around the world using your phone's internet connection. Simply search by keyword, category or genre, pick the station you want to listen to and it buffers nearly instantly.

We tested TuneIn Radio with both WiFi and standard data connections and received near-perfect reception with very few breaks in service. Its battery usage was not excessive on the HTC Legend test device we used. In fact, the only criticism we have is that the app doesn't include an option to sort your presets (as bookmarks are known in the TuneIn Radio app).

The app lets you listen to AM/FM radio stations in your locality, as well as downloading and playing popular podcasts. TuneIn Radio is pleasantly designed and simple to use. It also features sleep timers and alarm settings, so you can set your phone to wake you up with your favorite radio show or podcasts.

TuneIn Radio is a well designed and perfectly executed radio app for Android phones. Essential for any radio or podcast fan.

Google Play Music 5.1.1106K.749200 - app

Google Play Music is a combination of a device-based music player and streaming music utility.

Functioning both on smartphones and tablets, Google Play Music also provides users a way to access large amounts of music through a Wi-Fi or data connection. The application is very useful for users who have smaller on-device storage. Google Play Music requires a Gmail account to link the account from Music Manager to Google Play Music.

Used without Google’s Music Manager, Google Play Music is a standard music playback application. Google Play Music sorts music files through different options like: Recent, Artists, Albums, Songs, Playlists, and Genres. Google Play Music has options for adding songs to playlists or searching for more information about the artist online. The application links to Google Search to show purchase availability of artists.

Unfortunately, Google Play Music does not have a built-in equalizer to customize the sound. Songs can be uploaded into storage on the device using an USB connection.

With Google’s Music Manager, Google Play Music is an excellent application. Essentially, users do not have to have any music on their device in order to play music, and they can stream music to their device over a data connection by using cloud storage. Music uploaded through Music Manager can then be downloaded to the device for offline listening. Music Manager is required for uploading music online and depending on the size of the library, it can take a long time.

The quality of the streaming music can be changed within the options as well as streaming via Wi-Fi only.The streaming quality of Google Play Music is impressive. There were no issues playing high quality 320 kbps songs.

Google Play Music is the perfect combination of offline music player and personal online streaming service.

Line Camera 2.11.2 - app

Line Camera is a camera app that lets you customize your images with text, stamps, and effects.

The point of Line Camera is to take pictures and then add filter effects to the image. After applying the filter, you can add different cartoon stamps to the image. This can either be adding various characters or even adding glasses to the pictures you have.

There are a lot of different additions that can be added to your pictures. You can even import pictures from your phone to add new effects. Once you are finished customizing, you can upload it to various social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

The quality of images is great for the web, but you cannot save images locally. They are uploaded online. That is the main issue with Line Camera. If you are a member of Korean social networks, you will have a better understanding of Line Camera because it connects to Naver’s Line service.

Line Camera is a good camera app and has similar functions to other Android apps.
